A pair of swans is undoubtedly beautiful to behold but last’s weeks announcement from the FDA may just have given us a near perfect duo.

On 25 August the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorised the Libre Duo as the first wearable device in the world to continuously monitor both ketones and blood sugar (glucose) together in a single device.

Through the development of the Libre Duo, Abbott Diabetes Care offers users a CGM that not only monitors blood sugar lows and highs but tracks ketone levels to hopefully avoid DKA and a medical emergency.

Amazing stuff and definitely one to keep an eye on as more diabetics try out this new device 💙
