This worryjng development needs addressing as soon as possible.

Research funded by Diabetes UK has found that when given the HbA1c test, the genes of people of South Asisn heritage caused a falsely low result.  Accuracy of HbA1c causes delays in diabetes diagnosis and ultimately treatment for this community. 

Further research is needed now to ensure that everyone within the UK gets the diagnosis and treatment they need to live a healthy life.
