Fighting for a fairer system

Fairness and equality

Apologies for going sightly off topic with this post, but I think that fairness within  our education system impacts everyone within our society.

The Guardian highlights a recent report from The Sutton Trust revealing real disparity across the UK in terms of support for children with SEND.  Calling this present generation “doubly disadvantaged,” their research highlights how parents who can afford to pay for an EHCP to move support forward for their child are doing just that.

Ultimately, this further impacts the provision for every child and family and undoubtedly leads to those who most need support left abandoned by a system that is already unfair 💔
