I admit that whilst reading news of this pioneering research from Diabetes UK , I was most struck by the description of a “harmless virus that acts like a microscopic postman”

New gene therapy from researchers at the University of Bristol could offer long-term protection from kidney damage for diabetics – potentially with one single treatment!

This is amazing news to help prevent diabetic nephropathy, which currently affects one in three people with diabetes  💙
