Making myself visible

Being seen and heard

Initially, I couldn’t think of anything to write in response to this daily prompt, but then I remembered what I had learned about myself over the past 12 months.

Like many people, I try to stay in the background and only usually speak when spoken to.  Perhaps it’s my background, gender or age, but I now finally realise that I do have a voice, and I deserve to have it heard every now and again.

My advice to everyone today would be to say what you have to say and make no apologies.  This way, we can all advocate for ourselves and perhaps empower others who feel they have less of a voice at the moment 💙

What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? Why?

I have been told that I am a great self advocator. 🙂 You do need to speak up for yourself you know.
