A big blue thank you

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

Blue heart

I would like to time travel back to 1920s Canada and personally thank the wonderful team of scientists who discovered insulin.

Diabetes UK provides an overview of the development of insulin, which has enabled diabetics to survive and live their best life.

There is still more to do in ensuring that diabetics globally have easier access to this life-giving drug, but without the commitment of people such as Frederick Banting, Charles Best, and JRR Macleod, our future would have looked very different.

Thank you to all researchers – past, present, and future – who continue to push boundaries 💙
