I have recently stumbled across the work of Neko Health, whose philosophy seems to be to create a healthcare system that focuses upon prevention and early detection, rather than treatment, of chronic illnesses such as diabetes. Their current body scan technology, along with their research, is well worth a look.

A particular clinical study of interest to the diabetic community is their investigation into Microangiopathy IN Diabetes (MIND).  Their study is investigating skin microvascular function in patients with type 1 diabetes with the view to develop new diagnostic tools to detect diabetes microangiopathy at an early stage.
