Clinical psychologist (and fellow type 1 diabetic) Daniel Sher offers an interesting perspective around the role of empathy within health care.

Arguing that empathy is a key skill required in health workers to develop effective and collaborative relationships, which ultimately leave patients feeling listened to and supported.  Sher’s article makes for an essential read, offering an insight into what empathy looks like, along with potential barriers that can prevent such a person-centred approach from being offered.
