Researchers from the University of Birmingham have worked with NHS England to develop a diagnostic code to better identify presymptomatic type 1 diabetics, with the goal of linking them to better support and treatment in a more timely manner. The code will be added to online patient records to enable early detection of diabetes, resulting in faster access to appropriate interventions and support.

Discover more about this amazing development, funded by JDRF, which hopefully will improve the short and long-term health of patients in addition to saving our NHS vital funds.
