Super hero cells

Another amazing research project from the Type 1 Grand Diabetes Challenge explores the development of tougher beta cells, which have a higher success rate of survival after transplantation. 

Professor Francesca Spagnoli and Dr Rocio Sancho are leading a team of experts from the fields of biology, immunology, and engineering to create these super cells, which could help to  free diabetics from future insulin injections.
